This is a review for Wenzel Moose Boys 40-Degree Sleeping Bag.What's more fun than camping with the kids? Yah... I suppose a few folks out there might have a few ideas, but for me, I do enjoy camping!A few camping trips ago, we decided to purchase some new supplies. Tent, clothes line, gas burner, and, yes, sleeping bags. We decided to let our kids choose their own sleeping bag, and my 7 year old daughter wanted the pink wenzel moose 40 degree sleeping bag. It was within our budget, and when it arrived, I was excited. I wasn't as excited as my daughter, but that goes without saying. It's a well made sleeping bag that is plenty warm for late spring to early fall camping in lower altitude areas. I suspect that it would be a fine sleeping bag for camping in the mountains during this period of time, but I'd bring an extra blanket just in case. What I like most about the bag is that it rolls up easily, is small sized, and the straps are strong. It does come with a bag to slide the sleeping bag into, but I personally didn't see the point in this and let my daughter use it for packing her stuffed animals. My daughter loves that it is pink and has animals on it. She also says it is 'snuggly.'We've had the sleeping bag now for about two years. Its seen a lot of use, outside and inside. It is holding up quite well and washes just fine. My daughter has grown about a foot it seems during this time and still fits in the bag. I suspect my daughter will outgrow the bag before it gets worn out.I highly recommend this sleeping bag.
This was a gift for my daughter's 10th birthday. She and her friend planned to camp out in our yard the evening of her party, which was last night. Since she didn't have a sleeping bag, I decided to get her one! I chose this one because she loves pink and I thought the moose pattern was really cute. (She loved it!)She slept in the sleeping bag last night and she told me that it was really warm and comfortable. Granted, it was pretty warm and humid last night (and it rained) but she said she didn't get too hot in it. The zipper is easy to zip and unzip and the material inside the bag is very soft. She's about four and a half feet tall and this bag is big enough to last her for a few years as long as she takes care of it.We're both really happy with this sleeping bag and I'd definitely buy it again!
We bought this for my 3-year old daughter for a camping trip the weekend of June 24th. The zipper broke on the first night. Since I ordered it over a month (May 18th) in advance to prepare for the trip, I cannot return/replace through Amazon. I have contacted the company to inquire on the warranty and will update my review to 5-stars if they will replace. My daughter does love the bag and it still kept her warm despite the broken zipper, but I am pretty bummed that it broke so easily. It was not stuck on anything and literally just popped off.
