User reviews

I have not worn a Speedo brief swim suit for over 40 years. I decided to try this one exclusively for use in my pool which is in a screened pool enclosure that is surrounded by a tall hedge. So, no worry about scaring the neighbors. 😉 I bought it hoping it would be comfortable, fast drying and easy to rinse after use.Happily, I can report that it meets all those criteria. But, I wanted to submit this review hoping it may be helpful to someone else contemplating ordering one. I read all the questions and all the reviews before I ordered. (Yes, I'm OCD.)Several commented that this suit runs somewhat small. I carefully measured myself at each recommended body location (remember, I'm OCD) and came out being a "perfect" size 37. So, based on the reviews and answered questions, I decided to go the half size larger, a 38. The 38 fits and is comfortable but after wearing in daily for a week it's clear that a size 36, would fit better. So, based on my experience, if your an in-between size, I'd recommend going to the lower size. (I should point out, that other than my love handles and old geezer gut, I have a thin build.)
These brief do the job. First I am an ex pro football players coming in at 6'1" 258 ILB. So you can imagine trying to fins shorts for a larger frame. These shorts give me full cheek coverage, but my one complaint is that the sides are really high. They look like a bad cross between square trunks and a traditional brief. Also they run true to size, I was worried and got a 42, and wish i had gotten a 40 for when the shorts start to loose some shape. Over all these are a great buy for a bigger guy or someone wishing to not scare everyone at the pool by flashing too much flesh!
I'm sure those of you who've lost a lot of weight are annoyed with the little bit of excess skin. Normal bikini bathing suits are too low cut (men) and look terrible. This does a good job, yet still has a little bit of the Bikini left in it, making it very comfortable for Aqua Fitness and laps.I'm 6'1 215lbs. Ordered a 40 and it's perfect. Not too tight around my legs, which Speedo is horrible for. I run 5 miles 4 times a week and swim a mile the same number of days (so you know my fitness level).Believe it or not, I've tried some mid-waist bikini bottoms from the female lineup and they worked well with the fit, but the legs were too high cut. This swimsuit is just about perfect. I only wish they had some sporty prints/designs. The all black is sort of Grandpa.
