TRAIN LIKE YOU RACE WITH THE SIM ELITE II SHORTS The SIM is the first practical triathlon and swim training tool to mimic the body position and experience of a wetsuit swim by lifting you up – without overheating from wearing a wetsuit in an 80° pool. This patented suit is a game changer. It’s better than a pull-buoy, because it lets you kick and turn naturally. It also gives just a touch of warmth for those cold morning workouts. The SIM makes every swim a race-specific training workout. Once you try it, you won’t ever want to go back. Note, these shorts are designed for the pool and should have excellent durability if you rinse them after use with fresh water and dry them thoroughly. GET THE FASTEST BODY POSITION The SIM Elite II lifts up your hips just like a wetsuit, putting you in the fastest position possible and helping your body develop the muscle memory needed on race day. Most top wetsuit manufacturers focus on buoyancy alone. Sure, wetsuits help lift you up, but that’s not enough – and in some cases it can really get in the way of fast swimming. To get the fastest body position, you have to remove buoyancy, mass, and resistance from the places you don’t want it. With the SIM Elite II, we add buoyancy to the hips and legs, creating the fastest position possible. We also use Yamamoto’s SCS coating to further reduce form drag. We’re confident you’ll feel the ROKA difference as soon as you jump in the water. The SIM is considered by USAT rules to be the same as a wetsuit. Therefore, you may wear the SIM in a race where wetsuits are permitted, but you may not wear it in a non-wetsuit race.
I don't know why but after my first swim it's all ripped.UPDATE:I contacted Roka and they are simply awesome. I explained to them what happened and even though it's been more than 30 days (I think i bought them almost 40 days ago) they sent me new buoyancy shorts. They totally understood my frustration and made an exception. I love how companies like Roka respect their loyal customers. I've purchased everything from them: skinsuit, trisuit, swim briefs, jammers, etc.
I’ve been working hard for the past month trying to learn how to swim for some triathlons I’m going to do coming up. I have problems with my hips and legs sinking so I’ve been using a pull buoy for a lot of my workouts. I don’t feel like I’m getting better so I ordered these shorts because I could use all the help I can get and figured it can’t hurt. I got in the pool and before I even started swimming I could see how much they will help because u can feel they help you float already. I’ve only used them once so far but from my previous workout to to the next workout with these shorts on I shaved 20 seconds off my 100 yard time just adding these shorts. They are great because you can replace the pull buoy and still use your legs. If your doing triathlons that allow wetsuits I think these would be great to train in. It’s giving me much more confidence going forward.
I use these shorts to balance out my Trim when scuba Diving. I have very strong and big thighs, that cause me to be negatively buoyant and drop my legs below my center while diving. These shorts are awesome and providing just enough buoyancy and snapping my legs into a good trim position.Durability so far has been great 2. I presently have 20 dives on them from Fresh to salt water and clam to high current. These have held up nicely. I have spoken to a few people that stated most these short last 3-4 swims. This have been great, will buy again.
