I had been using burts bees sulfate free shampoo for almost 10 years now when I stumbled upon this guy at Target. I became instantly hooked. I have curly hair so I need to retain as much moisture as I possibly can. I love the scent, I can smell it on my hair still 2-3 days after washing (I only wash 2x per week). After 3 months of using this, I can't say I noticed anything different than my usual sulfate free shampoo and conditioner, but the scent alone is why I've continued purchasing it.
I purchased the rose water shampoo and conditioner. The scent is nice, a little old-ladyish but it kind of wears off after a while and it's pleasant for the remainder of the day. What I absolutely hate is the pump! The pump on the conditioner opened up and works like a charm, but the one on the shampoo bottle never opened properly. I have to unscrew the whole thing in order to get my shampoo out. Because it's such a large bottle, it's a real nuisance. I can't wait for the bottle to be finished.
Bought this product after Amazon recommended it to me because I love rosewater and rose scents and Pantene Pro V is my go to shampoo and conditioner, so I thought I'd give this product a try too.I've used sulfate free products before, so I knew it wasn't going to feel quite the same.I liked the scent of this product a lot. It's slightly artificial, but I enjoyed it anyway and it lasts for about 24 hours, which is a huge plus to me.The shampoo had trouble penetrating my long, thick hair and I found that I had to section my hair and apply shampoo to each section in order to actually wash all my hair properly. This made it a little tedious, but if I tried to do it normally, it just couldn't get down to the lower layers of my hair. The shampoo also did not leave my hair as clean as I would like. I found my hair would get greasy (from natural oils) after about 30 hours and I prefer to wash my hair every 48 to 72 hours, so I didn't like needed to use so much extra dry shampoo to get by.The conditioner left my hair soft and tangle free, but not as soft as I normally get from other products, but it worked and applied fine otherwise. The big thing, which is stopping me from repurchasing this product or using it alone again is after about a month of using it, I started to notice flakes in my hair - just a few. As I've never had dandruff before, I thought it was lint or something at first until I realized there was more of it as time passed.Since nothing else had changed in my diet, routine, etc it left only this shampoo and conditioner as the possible cause. I stopped using both and swapped back to my normal shampoo and conditioner and after a week, the dandruff was gone.I do not know if it was the shampoo, the conditioner, or both that caused the dandruff, but since I was fairly underwhelmed with the products' performance, I will discontinue using both anyway. I have mixed them into my normal products though since I did really love the scent and I don't want them to go to waste.
