I’m a nurse, and I work 12 hour shifts. I love these shoes. This is a replacement for my last pair, which I’m only replacing due to my big toe now hanging out. At the end of a shift these help my back and knees not ache.
For those who need this answer, cuz i certainly couldnt get a direct answer from anyone on here before I purchased...from what i can tell so far these fit same as the 18s. So if you got an 8 then you still want an 8 now. What a difference it makes when you replace worn out shoes. My old ones were only 7 months old but my hips, knees and back were killing me and I couldnt figure out why. My hunch was I needed new shoes. I do not know if ran more than normal or they just break down faster now but either way these have been amazing. Now 2 years ago i only had to go up a half a size but now i have to go up a whole size so keep that in mind. Your feet will swell as you run and you need the extra space. Oh and also, I have the scrawniest heels and normally they slide out too much but these actually hug my heel which i cannot say about the 18s. My only complaint is the choice of colors. I always have to settle on the least ugliest colors but these shoes are worth every penny. I will update after I have used them more than 3 times but man so far they are amazing! I only buy Brooks for running and was hesitant about giving up my previous ones (same but 18s) and glad I did. These are better so far imo.
I have wide feet with a high arch/instep and a narrow heel. I wear a size 10 wide and ordered a size 10.5 wide as reviewers suggested. These are the 5th pair of athletic shoes I’ve tried on this seasion & I had about given up. Thankfully these shoes felt great right out of the box! I have a comfortable amount of room in the toe box so that my toes don’t rub but not so much that my foot feels lost. The width is snug but not tight. I can feel the arch support but it is not so high that I feel like I have a lump in my shoe. The heel cup feels great on my foot. It does not sit too low and the bumpers give me some support without pressing on the sides of my heel. There is a nice memory foam type cushion around the collar of the heel that feels great and prevents the back of the shoes from rubbing on my heel. The sole has a nice amount of cushion & flexibility. These are priced more than I normally pay, but so worth it! I have worn Clarks walking shoes , New Balance walking shows & running shoes, UnderArmor athletic shoes, Saucony running shoes and I have tried Propet. These fit my foot better than all of them. Hopefully they will keep the large selection of colors as I prefer the more understated colors & that seems hard to find in most running/athletic shoes.
