adidas Men’s Hoops 2.0 Mid Sneaker
Mid-top style with a premium look. These men's basketball-inspired shoes boast luxe style with a suede upper on a tinted cupsole. Two-tone laces offer a fashionable touch.
These are a bit lighter then what is shown but that's ok, they look even better. They look good with my jeans. Fit is good and quality is top notch. Great ankle support and the tongue is nicely padded for a stylish look. These seem more for casual wear than for basketball.
My Mom wanted a pair of Adidas since we watched Bohemian Rhapsody in February. She told me she had a pair way back in the 80's that she loved, and as she needed ankle support this was the best choice. We'd been waiting for months to purchase a pair...and she loves them! This is a very high quality shoe with a nice, hard sole on the bottom, and wonderful support. She is able to wear them up on the treadmill, which is great because she can ditch the braces she was given (which really hurt her more than help now). She also is wearing them as part of her costume this year which is (as you guessed) Freddie Mercury. The only thing we need is longer laces, however that's not a deterrent to her using the shoes--they just have very tiny bows for now, lol. She normally wears a size 8 shoe, however in a men's size she can get away with a 7, which is what we ordered and it fits just as her old ones did. Thanks for making these available at a price us working people can afford ($45 vs $65 (without shipping) is quite a difference)!
This is an Ok shoe, but nothing special. I've been wearing white leather high-tops at work for decades. Reebok's newest version of their classic BB4600 had a big quality drop, so I had to look for an alternative. These caught my eye with their clean classic style, padded collar and leather tongue (some colors). However when I received these, it was pretty clear that quality was no a top priority on this model. At first glance I saw that the "stitching" that attaches the upper to the cup sole was fake, and not even stitched at all. Worst of all these have the exact same fatal flaw of the Reeboks, soft wavy soles. At work, especially up on ladders I prefer a hard sole like basketball shoes used to have. The soles on these shoes wobble and waver all over the place. They have even more lateral flexibility than a 3 year old pair of slip-on Vans.I bought 3 pairs of these: 2 high, 1 low but after a couple weeks of use, it's pretty clear that these don't cut it on the job site. While I really do enjoy the clean classic styling, the Adidas Hoops 2.0 is a cheap casual shoe, not a work ready high top or a quality basketball shoe.
